I get the impression the Philippines is the place to find a wife and some friends, then maybe settle down somewhere else in SEA. With the ease of English speakers everywhere in the PI I think it seems like a great place to start a tour of SEA, almost like a gateway to the region. I've been pretty stuck on the PI as the place for my family, but TBH that's just because of the language factor. I wouldn't mind picking up a new language over time but I don't want to HAVE TO.

Almost everything has pros and cons. If you do not see any positive in marriage, then you have black/white thinking. This usually happens after a strong negative experience. If I tell you a positive and it does not align with your negative experience, then it is likely you will reject my perspective due to the need to protect yourself.

It’s laziness when people don’t pick their own own trash up and throw their trash away. In the states I remember watching a commercial on tv that viewed a native Indian that talked about picking our trash up from wherever we are to keep our land free. I remember at the end of the commercial seeing a tear run down his cheek. Does anyone else remember this commercial ? It made me aware to throw my trash in a garbage can instead of leaving it on the ground. Still today I always pick my trash up and put it in a garbage can or take it home and toss it away there.

Malaysia and thailand are better in everything

As with any country its important to mention everything i have been travelling to the Philippines for 14 years i agree with your last video. I don't understand why so many foreigner's go to Dumaguete i didn't find it to be anything special i have visited a lot nicer places in the Philippines, I asked another channel why so many foreigner's in Dumaguete he thinks its because of all the guy's with channel's taking about the city, do you agree with that Paul ?

A lot of what you say is true. And if you were to see where the real retirees live and play you may find it very similar to Hawaii in many ways. The retirees to whom you seem to be referring to are mostly people who never planned their retirement to include the Philippines. They just woke up one day and realized they never saved or invested while they were young and find themselves looking for a place where they can afford to live with a small SSA and pension check. Most start in South America and run to Thailand and Philippines looking for a place to survive on their limited income and live much better than they can in their home countries. The true retirees made plans years in advance of their retirement and invested their monies wisely for their future here in the Philippines. As for hospitals and medical care, The Philippines has some of the best hospitals in Asia, with doctors schooled at Johns Hopkins and other major universities in the US, Japan, UK and here in the Philippines. Some also volunteer to work at provincial hospitals and donate their skills to train other doctors here. You can find these doctors in private hospitals throughout the Philippines in major Metropolitan areas. The cost of first-class medical care is just a fraction of what you would pay in the US even without health insurance. also, US brand medication is a fraction of the cost. President Trump also mentioned how big pharma was over-pricing the US medication. And if you look in these areas you will find Western food stores selling the same food brands as you will find in your home country at a lower price in most cases. Export products are not taxed like your local hometown grocery store. Try researching the Island of Luzon for retirees. you may be surprised by what you will find. Great Vlog Paul !

the only countries i see many old farts moving to for retirement in Spanish countries are Mexico and Costa Rica....
